Radio Londres

Radio Londres (German: "Radio London ") was a French-language radio broadcaster for the BBC during World War II . Radio Londres was on the air from 1940 to 1944 and was designed by the Forces françaises libres .

The " Appeal of June 18th " by Charles de Gaulle and other calls for resistance against the German occupation, satirical contributions by Pierre Dac , Maurice Schumann and others, as well as coded messages to the Resistance were broadcast . With the poem Chanson d'automne by Paul Verlaine, the imminent landing of the Allies in Normandy (" Operation Overlord ") was announced.
