Radio Maria is a private Christian radio station with a Catholic character with its headquarters in Adliswil and an outdoor studio in Brig . Around 15 permanent employees and over 40 volunteers work at Radio Maria. Radio Maria belongs to the world family of Radio Maria and was supported by them in the establishment. The station is financed by donations from its listeners.
history
After two services from Ticino were broadcast for Radio Maria in Italy in 1997 , the desire arose to establish a comparable station in Switzerland. In 2005 the association “Amici Radio Maria Svizzera” was founded for this purpose. In a first step, other stations in the world family could be financially supported. Radio Horeb's radio studio in Switzerland was inaugurated on November 25, 2008 . At the same time, discussions took place on the establishment of Radio Maria Deutschschweiz. On December 9, 2009, Radio Maria was awarded the contract to broadcast the program “Radio Maria Deutschschweiz” on the second national multiplex in the German-speaking part of Switzerland. The broadcast started on June 13, 2010 in a makeshift studio. The broadcaster states that the regular program will begin on September 8 of the same year.

The program can be received via DAB + ( channel 7D throughout German-speaking Switzerland ), the Internet (website and mobile apps ), cable (UPC Switzerland and Quickline) and Swisscom TV.

Worship services and Christian events or conferences are broadcast on the channel every day. In the radio and television studios, programs are produced in cooperation with speakers from the church, politics and business to accompany the listeners on their journey of faith. These are available as podcasts on the broadcaster's website .
The program Guete Morge bi Radio Maria contains elements from the program radio , which deal with spiritual impulses, questions of life, the catechism or the Catholic social and social doctrine and present further Christian literature at different times and sometimes in daily alternation .
Other programs include the treatment of papal documents, the introduction of public figures, reports and talk shows, as well as reports on testimonies of faith .
