Radio Osnabrück is a local radio for the city of Osnabrück and the district of Osnabrück . The station received its license from the Lower Saxony State Media Authority (NLM).

Emergence

At its meeting on September 13, 2012, the NLM assembly assigned the local VHF frequency for the Osnabrück region. She had to make a selection decision here. TeutoRADIO Osnabrück GmbH received approval as a radio broadcaster and the allocation of the frequency. teutoRADIO prevailed against several newspaper publishers in the tender.

Radio Osnabrück started on October 1st, 2013 with a test program on the FM frequency 98.2. The official start of broadcasting took place on November 16, 2013 at 12 noon. Since April 2018, the VHF frequency 104.2 has also been broadcast for the Melle area and since August 2019 the VHF frequency 93.6 for the southern district of the Osnabrück district. At the beginning of November 2019, the station announced another VHF frequency on its Facebook page to improve coverage of the northern district of its broadcast area. This officially went into operation on November 24, 2019 on 107.6 MHz.

Mondays to Fridays

"Osnabrück am Morgen" runs from 5 am with the moderator Jürgen. From 10 a.m. to 12 noon, André will moderate "Osnabrück at work". This will be followed by the programs "Meal" (12pm - 2pm) and "Osnabrück am Afternoon" (2pm - 4pm), also with the moderator André. From 4pm to 7pm, presenter Jan takes over with the program "Osnabrück am Abend".

weekend

At the weekend "Osnabrück am Morgen" starts at 6 am. The morning show is moderated by Jürgen on Saturdays and Jörg on Sundays. From 10 a.m. to 12 noon, André will present the program "Osnabrück am Saturday". The "Sportparade" with moderator Jörg runs on Saturdays from 12 noon to 6 pm. Afterwards (6–8 pm) presenter Pamina will present the current charts in the "Hit Parade". The "Clubnight" with Pamina runs on Saturdays from 8 pm to 5 am.

From 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., local news is broadcast every half hour.

Others

With the start of broadcasting of Radio Osnabrück, a private VHF local radio can be heard in the state for the first time after the change in the state media law in Lower Saxony. Radio Osnabrück is produced in the broadcasting studio at Jürgensort in Osnabrück's city center.
