Radmilo Petrovic

Radmilo Petrović (born in Belgrade , Serbia ) is a Serbian opera singer ( tenor ).

Life

He began his musical career as an oboist in the music high school "Kornelije Stanković" with Ljubiša Petruševski. Shortly afterwards he played oboe as a member of the Belgrade Youth Philharmonic. He also worked as a choir conductor in the St. Bartolomei Church in Belgrade, which is where he discovered his love for singing. Because of this, he took lessons from Branka Kambasković. His extraordinary voice brought him first and special prizes at the international singing competitions "Petar Konjović" in Belgrade and Novi Sad . He completed his vocal studies with a master's degree at the Belgrade Music University with Irina Arsikin. He continued his singing lessons at the Vienna Music University with Helene Karusso. He studied song and oratorio with Marjana Lipovšek and the opera school with Reto Nickler and Ivan Parik.

He attended master classes with John Hancorn, Guillemette Laurens , Evelyn Tubb, Nicolas Clapton, Anthony Rooley, Emma Kirkby, Claudia Eder, Alexander Rieger, Ivor Bolton and Andreas Karasiak. He is currently working with numerous Yugoslav early music ensembles: Studio for Early Music Belgrade, Ensemble Renaissance, Musica Antiqua Consort. He gave numerous concerts and recitals in the former Yugoslavia, England, Germany and Austria. In addition, he leads a private singing class and has been the assistant to the choir and tenor soloist of the Serbian Orthodox diocese in Vienna since March 2015 .
