Radwan Masmoudi

Radwan Masmoudi (born 1963 in Tunisia ) is an Islamic figure in the United States . He is the founder and president of the Center for the Study of Islam and Democracy (CDID; www.islam-democracy.org ) based in Washington, DC , according to his own statements, “a Washington-based non-profit think tank dedicated to promoting democracy in the Muslim world ". He is also the editor of the centre's quarterly Muslim Democrat magazine . He is the author of numerous works. Masmoudi emigrated to the United States in 1981. He earned a Ph.D. Graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in robotics, automation and control and then worked as an engineer in research. He is married and has four kids.

He was one of the signatories of the Amman Message ( Amman Message ).
