Rafael Tasis i Marca

Rafael Tasis i Marca (born March 9, 1906 in Barcelona , died December 4, 1966 in Paris ) was a Catalan writer, politician and bookseller. In the 1930s he was Secretary General of the Young Catalan Republicans. For 1937-38 he was appointed prison director of the Catalan Generalidad. In 1939 he went into exile in Paris. There he worked under various pseudonyms for magazines in fascist Spain.
