Rafael of Ambros
Rafael Ambros , (since 1878) Knight of Ambros (born May 12, 1855 in Prague , † September 19, 1895 in Gutenstein ), was an Austrian painter.
He was the eldest son of the senior public prosecutor and composer August Wilhelm Ambros (1816–1876), who was made Knight of the Order of the Iron Crown III. Class has been appointed. For this reason, his widow Theresia Ambros (* 1829) and Rafael's seven siblings were raised to the Austrian knighthood in 1878. From then on, his mother was called Theresia Edle von Ambros .
