Raffles International

Raffles International is an international hotel chain that originally came from Singapore (founded in 1989), but is now majority owned by the Californian Colony Capital LLC through Raffles Holding . The chain includes 41 hotels and resorts under the Raffles, Fairmont and Swissôtel brands in 35 countries, including the Raffles Hotel in Singapore, the chain's best-known hotel.

Raffles Hotels International is the mother of the Raffles Hotel and Swissôtel brands .

In 2006 Colony Capital started a joint venture with the Saudi Kingdom Holding ; together they acquired the Fairmont Hotels and Resorts . This is how the Holding FRHI Hotels & Resorts , which manages Raffles, Fairmont and Swissôtel, came into being. On July 12, 2016, the takeover of FRHI by Accor was announced.
