The Rahmer Forest is an extensive forest area between the Dortmund districts of Rahm , Westerfilde and Huckarde .

In the forest is the 38 hectare Mastbruch nature reserve , a mining-related subsidence area . Westhusen Castle is located in the center of the Rahmer Forest .

Today, the Rahmer Forest is primarily used as a recreation and leisure retreat. The Wischlingen Revierpark borders the Rahmer Forest in the south .
