Raindogs are a Portuguese folk rock band. The band was founded in Portugal in 1996 by Pedro Temporão, Roland Popp, Carlos António Santos, Frederico Cunha and Paulo Romão. They achieved fame through the Portuguese radio show "Indiegente", for which they also composed the theme song of the same name.
The first 7 "single From Head To Toe was released in 1998. The following year the albums Raindogs and From Today were released ; the latter was produced by Chris Eckman ( The Walkabouts ). After the release of the live CD Memories Of A Portable DAT , Roland Popp left the Band and returned to Germany. A year later the album Life After Vegas was released with a new singer, Carlos Gonçalves Pereira.In 2004 the German label Phantasmagoria Records released the best-of CD Alma .
In 2012, the Raindogs, with their original line-up with Popp, returned with a new title. Schwalben appeared on the compilation 15 anos Indiegente at the end of 2012 .
