The blue sheep was created by action artist Rainer Bonk , Rheinberg , in 2001 as a serial work of art . The work of art made of thin-walled polyester with ultramarine blue acrylic paint (after Yves Klein ) is about 60 cm high, 80 cm long and 30 cm thick. It weighs about 8 kg. Material and color are weatherproof and lightfast, but not unbreakable. Each copy is only genuine with the word / image mark "Blauschäferei Reetz" or "Blauschäferei" on the bottom. There are also thumb-sized mini blue sheep and lambs.
