Rainer Munz

Rainer Munz (born October 20, 1958 in Stuttgart ) is a German journalist and media entrepreneur.

Life

Munz studied German and politics at the University of Konstanz from 1980 to 1982 and, after moving to Frankfurt am Main in 1982 at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University, passed the 1st state examination in German and social studies for teaching at grammar schools. Munz worked as an editor after his internship at the tourist news agency tdt (1988) and RTL (1989), from 1990 to 1991 at RTL aktuell . From 1992 to September 1993 Munz worked at RTL-Studio Bonn, first as a correspondent and then also as deputy studio manager. Munz was previously responsible for RTL's Landesstudio Süd in Munich from 1998 to 2011 and was studio manager and correspondent for RTL in Moscow from October 1993 to May 1998. As a war reporter, Munz reported on Chechnya; During the Iraq war in 2003 he took over the representation in the RTL Studio Jerusalem. From July 2011 to March 2016, Munz was the studio manager of the RTL and n-tv studios in Berlin. Munz has been a partner and managing director of FINAL FRAME CONTENT GMBH since April 2016 and continues to report for Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland from Moscow for RTL and n-tv.
