Rakhat ( Kazakh and Russian Рахат / Rachat ) is the largest confectionery manufacturer in Kazakhstan , based in Almaty . Rakhat's products primarily include chocolate , pralines and sweets, as well as biscuits and waffles . Rakhat is listed on the Kazakh Stock Exchange .

history

The company started production in March 1942. In 1964 a new production facility for the production of chocolate and other sweets was built. Between 1978 and 1979 a new administration building with a canteen and medical area was built for the employees.

In 1992, Rakhat went public on the Kazakh Stock Exchange . In 2001 production began in a new production facility in Schymkent . In the years from 2003 to 2009 the production standards were raised to the European level and since 2007 they have been at the International Confectionery Fair in Cologne .

Products

Rakhat has a wide range of sweets of all kinds. The company makes products made from caramel , such as caramel candies . There are also sweets of different types and dragees in the range.

Rakhat makes different types of chocolate , including milk chocolate and dark chocolate . Various types of wine gum as well as foamed sugar , biscuits and waffles are among the company's products in addition to diabetic sweets .
