Rakov Škocjan
Rakov Škocjan is a valley and since 1949 a nature reserve in Inner Carniola near the Slovenian town of Cerknica . The brook Rak has cut its way through the karst rocks and thus created two natural bridges: the small and the large natural bridge, which are about 2.5 km apart. These two bridges are the entrance and exit of a cave that has collapsed. At the end the river disappears in the Weber cave. This served as a backdrop for the filming of Winnetou 2nd part in 1964 .
