from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ralf Agolli (born April 23, 1961 in Essen ) is a German football coach . He coached the women's Bundesliga club SG Essen-Schönebeck until May 11, 2010 .

Career

During his active career, Agolli was a top division player at Schwarz-Weiß Essen . Towards the end of his playing career he was the player- coach at SV Kray 04 when the SG Essen-Schönebeck coach asked him several times to replace him there. Surprised by the technical skills and enthusiasm of the players, Agolli took over the team at the beginning of 2001 and led them to second place in the Regionalliga West . After relegation was barely prevented in 2003, the club sought to qualify for the newly created 2nd Bundesliga for the following season . With many reinforcements from the neighbor FCR 2001 Duisburg , Agolli led the team to the championship and promotion to the Bundesliga. After SG Essen-Schönebeck only managed to stay in the women's Bundesliga with difficulty and only on the last match day in the 2009/2010 season , the club and Agolli agreed on May 11, 2010 to terminate his contract. He is currently coaching the Essen district division SV Kray 04.
