Ralf Güldner

Ralf Güldner (* 1953 ) is a German radiochemist and has been President of the German Atomic Forum since April 2010 .

Life

Güldner studied chemistry from 1972 to 1978 at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . In 1981 he received his PhD there in radiochemistry. From 1981 he worked for Alkem GmbH (later fuel element works ) in Hanau, where he was plant manager from 1995 to 1999. He then became managing director at Advanced Nuclear Fuels (ANF); from 2001 to 2008 technical managing director and labor director (executive vice president) at Framatome ANP GmbH in Erlangen (today AREVA NP). In addition, from 2003 to 2006 he was chairman of the Kerntechnischen Gesellschaft . From 2008 he was initially a member of the management board, then Deputy Chairman of the management board at E.ON Kernkraft GmbH. His responsibility there concerned the areas of "new construction", "dismantling" and "fuel cycle". Since 2009 he has been President of the European industry association FORATOM .

From 2014 to 2016 he was also a “representative of the social groups” and a member of the Commission for the Storage of Highly Radioactive Waste Materials (Repository Commission) in accordance with Section 3 of the Site Selection Act .
