Ralf Matura

Ralf Matura (* 1970 in Krefeld ) is a German painter and sculptor.

Life

He completed his studies as a master class student with Volker Stelzmann at the University of the Arts in Berlin in 1999. He lives and works mainly in Potsdam.

His exhibitions are often related to musical performances; the works are mostly related to music and singing. A whole cycle of strongly colored landscape and figure paintings was created for the creation of Josef Haydn and was shown for a performance with the conductor Peter Kortmann in 2007.

  • 2006 in connection with the world premiere of the opera Gala Gala in the Museum Ludwig in Cologne
  • 2008 (with Claudia Hauptmann) in the Foundation for Freedom Berlin / Brandenburg with the topic of freedom
