Ralph Freed

Ralph Freed (born May 1, 1907 in Vancouver , † February 13, 1973 in Los Angeles ) was an American songwriter , songwriter and TV producer.

Live and act

Freed attended Hollywood High School. He began his career as a contract writer for the Paramount, Universal and MGM studios. From 1931 member of the ASCAP , he worked in the following years a. a. with Sammy Fain , Frederick Hollander , Jimmy McHugh and Harry Barris . Freed wrote the song How About You? With Burton Lane . The Judy Garland and Mickey Rooney in the musical Babes on Broadway singing. The song was awarded for the Academy Award for Best Songnominated. From 1954 he was primarily active as a producer of television shows and films.

Ralph Freed was the brother of Ruth, Walter and Arthur Freed .
