Ralph Staub (born July 21, 1899 in Chicago , Illinois , USA , † October 22, 1969 in Los Angeles , California , USA ) was an American film producer .

biography

Ralph Staub started as a producer for Columbia Pictures in 1930. The majority of the more than 200 films he has produced are the one-act plays of the Screen Snapshot series, for which he partly wrote the script. The films, usually no longer than 10 minutes, showed behind the scenes scenes of film works, events in Hollywood and the like in a documentary style. The series was completed in 1958. Dust stopped producing.

Ralph Staub was nominated three times for an Oscar in the category of Best Short Film (a film role) : 1944 for Screen Snapshots Series 23, No. 1: Hollywood in Uniform , 1945 for 50th Anniversary of Motion Pictures and 1946 for Screen Snapshots Series 25, No. 1: 25th Anniversary .

Ralph Staub has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 1752 Vine Street.
