Rampage was an Australian thrash metal band from Melbourne , which was founded around 1985 and broke up around 1988.

history

The band was founded around 1985 by guitarist and singer George Mitrov. In the first year of the band's existence, Mitrov was the only permanent member of the band, until bassist David Frew and drummer Bruno Canziani joined the band in 1986. In the same year the first demo Acid Storm followed , which included four songs. In 1988 the first and only album Veil of Mourn followed . A little later the band broke up again. In 2011 the album was re-released with an additional DVD via Area Death Productions .

style

The band played technically demanding Thrash Metal comparable to Master's Control by Liege Lord , with Veil of Mourn being more aggressive. The band partly processed influences from Power- and Death-Metal , whereby the vocals were variable and partly quite high.
