Ramses (son of Ramses II)
Ramses was a son of Ramses II and his great royal wife Isisnofret . He was the first son of this connection and the second son of the ruler. Ramses was probably born before his father's accession to the throne. After the death of Amunherchepeschef (around the 25th year of the ruler's reign), who was the firstborn son of the king and thus crown prince, Ramses then took over the role of crown prince. Ramses died around the 50th year of Ramses II's reign. In addition to his role as Crown Prince, Ramses also held military titles. In this capacity he took part in the Battle of Kadesch .
