Ramune

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ramune ( Japanese ラ ム ネ ) is a Japanese carbonated soft drink. It was first made by Alexander Cameron Sim in Kobe in 1876 .

The taste is very similar to a lemonade. The word Ramune is phonetically derived from the English word lemonade . The ancient ball lock , which was widespread around the world around 1900 and is now only used for Ramune and the Indian banta , is striking . In the bottle there is a marble-like glass ball (see photo) that serves as a cork. To open the bottle, it is pressed into the bottle. At first, drinking can be difficult, as the marble often blocks the liquid due to the unfamiliar handling. Well-known Ramune mixed drinks include lychee, strawberry, melon and citrus flavors.

In German-speaking countries, Ramune is most likely to be found in Asia shops that import the drink.

Ramune is produced exclusively by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), on the basis of the "Business Fields Regulation Act" ( bun'ya-chōsei-hō ), which essentially prohibits large companies from entering the market of SMEs.
