Randers Cimbria is a basketball team from the Danish city ​​of Randers .

history

Randers Cimbria was founded in 1951, in 1973 it was merged with the Randers Basketball Club. In 2000 Cimbria rose to the Danish first division. In 2009 the team was third in the Danish championship. In 2010, due to economic difficulties, the forced relegation, 2012 the team returned to the top division of the country.

In the 2013/14 game year Randers reached the final of the Danish championship, but lost there against the Bakken Bears . In 2015 they became vice-cup winners (defeat in the final against Horsens IC ), in the season 2018/19 the Danish league finished third for the second time in the club's history. In the 2019/20 season, the team was named runner-up after being canceled due to the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus .
