Ranipauwa is a place in the Village Development Committee Muktinath in central Nepal in the Mustang District and the former Kingdom of Mustang .

Ranipauwa lies at an altitude of around 3700  m . With its numerous hotels, inns, cafes, restaurants and souvenir vendors, Ranipauwa is a transit station for numerous Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims from all over the world on their way to the pilgrimage site of Muktinath as well as for trekking tourists who visit the Annapurna massif on the Annapurna Circuit trail circumnavigate. Ranipauwa is the last fortified place before crossing the Thorong La Pass ( 5416  m ) on a clockwise hike around the Annapurna massif.

The place itself is hardly attractive, a few traditional buildings are dominated by numerous modern hotel and catering buildings that have been built in recent years. The infrastructure is simple, access roads and the local road are not paved, and the power supply is only partially reliable.
