Raoul Eshelman

Raoul Eshelman (* 1956 ) is a German Slavist.

Life

He received his doctorate in Slavic literature from the University of Konstanz in 1988 . After completing his habilitation in Slavic literature in 1995 at the University of Hamburg , he represented professorships at the Free University of Berlin , the University of Konstanz and the University of Heidelberg . Since 2009 he has been an adjunct professor and academic adviser for Slavic literary studies at the LMU Munich at the Institute for Slavic Philology.

His research and teaching focuses on Russian and Czech modernism and postmodernism, performatism (post-postmodernism), Russian and Czech film and Jean-Luc Marion's phenomenology.
