Raphael (Makuria)
Raphael was a Nubian king who ruled the realm of Makuria around 1002 .
Raphael was the son of a man who was also called Raphael, but who has not yet been recorded as king and whose status is therefore unknown. Raphael is mentioned by Abu Salih , who thinks that the king built a (probably Christian) building with a red brick dome in Alt Dunqula in 1002 .
