Abu Salih (also Abu Salih Al-Armani or Abu Salih, the Armenian) was an Armenian writer of the late 12th and early 13th centuries. He is said to have written a "History of the Churches and Monasteries of Egypt" in Cairo , which also addresses those in Nubia , Syria and Ethiopia . The work is written in Arabic. The attribution of this work to Abū Sālih is possibly fictitious. The Copt Abū al-Makārim is often regarded as the true author .
