Raphael Alpermann

Raphael Alpermann (* 1960 ) is a German harpsichordist and organist .

Life

Raphael Alpermann is a graduate of the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin . The course was followed by training in the master class at the Akademie der Künste in Berlin . During this time he also took lessons from Gustav Leonhardt and Ton Koopman .

He has been a member of the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin since it was founded in 1982. He has performed as a soloist in many of the ensemble's concerts and recordings. In 1995 he made his debut with the Berliner Philharmoniker with a concert by Bach. Since then he has repeatedly been a guest of this orchestra and other well-known ensembles. He worked u. a. with the conductors Claudio Abbado , Simon Rattle and Nikolaus Harnoncourt , with the soloists Thomas Quasthoff , Albrecht Mayer and Emmanuel Pahud . He made concert tours around the world and recorded over 100 CDs in various line-ups.

He teaches at the Hanns Eisler University of Music in Berlin , is artistic director of the youth baroque orchestra Bachs Erben and the Berlin up-and-coming baroque ensemble Concerto + 14 and gives courses in harpsichord and chamber music.
