Raphael Schwarzer

Raphael Schwarzer (* before 2001) is a German opera singer ( baritone ).

Life

Raphael Schwarzer received his training at the "Carl Maria von Weber" University of Music in Dresden and at the "Hanns Eisler" University of Music in Berlin. He began his career as an opera singer in 2001 with engagements at theaters in Bremen, Magdeburg, Berlin and Ravensburg. Here he sang a. a. Guglielmo in Così fan tutte , Frank in Die Fledermaus , Ben in Menotti's opera The telephone and Adelbert in Telemann's opera Otto (an adaptation of Handel's Ottone ) at the Telemann Festival in Magdeburg. In 2002 he took part in the Salzburg Festival . Here he appeared as part of the series Dichter zu Gast (with Robert Gernhardt) and celebrated a success in two operettas by Offenbach. In the same year he was engaged at the Cologne Opera , where he took part in numerous productions. He worked with Michael Hampe , Katharina Thalbach , Klaus Maria Brandauer , Christian Schuller, Günter Krämer and sang parts in Xerxes , La traviata , La Bohème , Dialogues des Carmélites , Die Liebe zu den Drei Orangen , Lohengrin , Salome , Billy Budd . In 2005 he was hired for the opening premiere of the Megaron Theater in Athens. There he sang the 1st priest in the Magic Flute , in a production by Michael Hampe .

Schwarzer's repertoire of roles includes important parts of the lyrical baritone subject , such as Papageno in the Magic Flute , Guglielmo in Così fan tutte , Dr. Falcon in the bat , Count Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro . In addition, he appears as a concert singer in recitals and concerts.

After his career as an opera singer, Schwarzer first taught German and music at the Käthe-Kollwitz-Gymnasium in Berlin. In 2017 he moved to Heinrich-Schliemann-Gymnasium (also Berlin)
