Raphana
Raphana was an ancient Greco-Roman city of the Decapolis .
It is probably identical with the biblical place Raphon ( Ῥαφών ), where the ammonite general Timotheus was defeated by Judas Maccabeus ( 1 Makk 5.37 EU ).
