Dion (Jordan)

Dion (also known by the names Adun and Capitolias ) is the name of an ancient city in Palestine . The exact location is controversial, but it is believed that it was on the site of today's Beit Ras north of Irbid .
The city appears in ancient reports as one of the cities of the Decapolis , a loose association of Greco-Roman cities.
