Rara Media Group
The Rara Media Group Limited was an Internet company based in London , United Kingdom and offered since December 13, 2011 on the website rara.com a Music Streaming Service in more than 16 countries. Compared to other music streaming services, rara waived an ad-financed free version. Rara offered unlimited music-on-demand access to over 22 million tracks and only used the Dolby Pulse audio codec. The company was chaired by Rob Lewis and CEO since July 2012 was Nick Massey.
From May 2013 Rara cooperated with the German automobile manufacturer BMW . The streaming offer was available in cooperation with Vodafone, for example in the BMW 5 Series as an optional extra BMW ConnectedDrive Online Entertainment in Germany, Great Britain, France, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain.
The service was discontinued in early 2015.
