Rasteder Musiktage

The Rasteder Musiktage is an annual summer music event in Rastede since 1955 . The event has developed into one of the largest competitions for drum corps , fanfare parades , marching bands, concert bands and show marching bands in Europe.

As part of the event, European Open Champions will be played in various disciplines and qualifications for world championships will be held. Various national champions from neighboring European countries attend regularly.

In 2010 103 participants took part in one weekend. The Musiktage also achieved a large number of participants in 2011 with 3,000 musicians in 56 bands from seven countries and over 10,000 viewers. Among other things, the Pattaya City Marching Band , the Drum & Bugle Corps Beatrix , the Blue Lions , the show band Rastede as well as the Fanfarenzug Strausberg and the Musikverein Rühle performed.

In 2016 the Rastede hosted the German Championship again and over 100 music bands came to Rastede again.

In 2021 the Rasteder will host the world championships for marching and show bands.
