The Fanfarenzug Strausberg was founded in 1970. Due to the restricted freedom of travel in the former GDR, the company limited itself to regional appearances in the beginning. Numerous district championships were won in the 1970s and 1980s. From 1982 the fanfare train regularly took part in GDR championships. A few top positions were achieved (second and third places) without being able to win the championships. After the iron curtain was opened, the fanfare procession also became internationally active in the 1990s. This was followed by appearances in the USA , Canada , Spain , Great Britain , Austria , Italy and Poland .

The greatest successes are winning the march and stand evaluation at the Austrian National Gymnastics Festival and the marching competition at the WAMSB World Championships in Monza in 2003 and in Bournemouth in 2004, as well as a gold medal at the WMC World Championships in Kerkrade . In addition, the Strausberg fanfare train became world champion of fanfare trains in Calgary (Canada) at the World Association for Marching Show Bands World Cup and won the German Cup in Alsfeld .
