The Wereld Muziek Concours ( English World Music Contest ) is an international music festival in the Netherlands.

It has been held in Kerkrade every four years since 1951 and is now organized by the WMC Foundation. As part of the music festival, there are musical competitions with amateur brass orchestras, marching and show bands, percussion ensembles and conductors. Concerts with professional orchestras are also held during the music festival. In 2005, 19,000 musicians and 200,000 visitors took part.

The most successful German participants, who regularly present their performances in the Parkstad Limburg Stadium , include the Strausberg fanfare train and the Rödemis marching band .

In the years between the World Music Contests , the organizers in Kerkrade organize the Ensemble and Soloist Contest (ensemble and soloist competition) and the Dutch Open (Dutch championships).
