Council of German Observatories
The German Observatory Council ( RDS ) represents the common interests of all German astronomical institutes vis-à-vis funding institutions, authorities and international organizations. The association, founded in 1959, now has 35 member institutes.
The RDS is the German representative in the International Astronomical Union .
