In 1641 the newly built Biržai town hall burned down. In the 17th century, Kristupas Radvila had the roof of the Alanta church removed and given to the Biržai town hall.

In August 1923 the construction of a new town hall began. The project manager was district technician Č. Brudnochas. The town hall was opened in September 1924.

The management of the Biržai Regional Park has been based here since 2008 .
