The town hall of Dinklage

The Rathaus Dinklage is the town hall of the city of Dinklage in Lower Saxony .

The two-story town hall is located in the city center near the market square ( Am Markt 1 ) of the city. The building was opened in 1901 by the physician Dr. Franz Meyer built as a so-called doctor's villa. The building as well as the interior show classic features of the Art Nouveau period . In 1954 the building was acquired by the then municipality of Dinklage. It has served as the town hall since January 1, 1955.

Only part of the Dinklager city administration is housed in the town hall building, namely the registry office, the offices of the main office and the mayor. All other offices are located in the branch office ( Rombergstrasse ). There is also no room in the town hall for a council chamber; the city council meets regularly in a restaurant.
