The town hall in Geising

The town hall is a listed building in Geising .

The two-storey building was built from 1908 according to plans by the Dresden architect Hans Gerlach and its design language was adapted to the characteristic building habits of the Ore Mountains town. A traditional half-timbered upper floor with irregular window axes and a hipped roof covered with slate rises above the stone ground floor with a typical seating niche portal. The inauguration took place on October 22, 1910. At that time, the house, equipped with central heating and a flush toilet, was one of the most modern buildings in Geising. On January 11, 1974, a fire broke out, which destroyed the roof structure.
