The Rattlesnake Iceland is a small Canadian Inland Island in Okanagan Lake , across from Peachland . The shore land that surrounds the island is part of the Okanagan Mountain Park.
Rattlesnake Island is considered the home of the legendary fabulous animal Ogopogo and was therefore also called "Ogopogo Island" until the mid-1950s. In the 1990s the island was in the process of being developed into a tourist attraction and a mini golf course was to be built on it, but that plan was later abandoned.
