Rauhī Fattūh ( Arabic روحي فتوح, DMG Rauḥī Fattūḥ ; * 1949 ) was appointed interim president of the Palestinian Authority after the death of Yasser Arafat on November 11, 2004. He held this position until elections were held; H. for a period of 60 days.

As a member of Arafat's Fatah movement, Fattuh became President of Parliament of the Palestinian Legislative Council on March 10, 2004. In 1996 he was elected MP for the city of Rafah (in the Gaza Strip ) and served the council as secretary until he was appointed Minister of Agriculture in Ahmed Kurei's government in November 2003 .

In March 2004, the majority faction Fatah nominated him as a candidate for the post of President of Parliament . 34 Fatah MPs voted for him, 10 against him. His appointment as interim president of the Fatah-dominated PLO was not surprising. When Arafat fell ill, the Palestinian leadership agreed on November 10th that Fattuh would be interim president for a period of 60 days, until new elections must be held according to the legal system of the Palestinian Authority. Fattuh took over this post the day after Arafat's death.

Fattuh is usually rated as moderate because he supported Ahmed Kurei as Arafat's successor. Kurei is said to have played a constructive role in the Oslo negotiations ; he had also represented Arafat in the past.
