The space protection is a tactic in the police situation coping .

It is also, in a figurative sense, the designation of an organizational unit (usually the reconnaissance mission ) that records information about disruptors and disruptions to public safety and order or other processes by people (direction, number, composition).

It is used to manage police forces (relocation of units, fight against crime, use of command and control equipment , etc.) and subsequently also to protect public spaces from security disruptions.

The room protection is only operated at major events and consists of uniformed workers who are posted around the scene of the event (meetings, football games). The aim of space protection is to avert danger .
