Intoxicating glasses

Driving with 1.3 per mille intoxicating glasses

The noise Glasses is a special model for simulation of relative or absolute inability to drive under the influence of alcohol .

With the use of different types like Drunk Busters-, twilight vision and low-level ( Alkopop -) glasses, various blood alcohol levels are simulated. Police, the German traffic watch , schools and other organizations or institutions often use high-street glasses on days of action and driver safety training in order to warn young people about alcohol consumption with such demonstrations.

The wearer of glasses experiences limited all-round vision, double vision , misjudgments for proximity and distance, confusion, delayed reaction times and a feeling of insecurity. The image he perceives is so distorted that "tunnel vision" occurs due to the necessary excessive concentration.

Since 2017, the Association against Alcohol and Drugs in Road Traffic has been offering a free noise glasses app that can be used with cheap augmented reality glasses. In this way, teachers and public authorities can educate the public at significantly lower cost.
