Ravager is a death metal band from Mexico that was formed in 1997 .

history

Ravager was the former Disgorge - frontman Antimo Buonanno (former member of Bloodreaping, Impiety, Demonized here along with Samuel Olvera) established in 1997 under the name domain. However, since this name was already occupied by the German melodic rock band Domain and a legal dispute was threatened, they changed their name to Ravager in around 2000. Her debut album Storm of Sin was released in 2002, which was released on the French label Osmose Productions and produced by Morbid Angel live sound engineer Juan "Punchy" Gonzales. Before that, the band had already released two albums, including a split CD with Demonized, without a label. Ravager signed a three-album deal with Osmose Productions. In early December 2003 it was announced that the band would split because front man Antimo Buonanno and drummer Oscar Garcia were planning to start a similar band under the name "Hacavitz".
