Ravindra Svarupa Dasa

Ravindra Svarupa Dasa (William H. Deadwyler; born July 27, 1947 ) is an American religious scholar. He studied philosophy at the University of Pennsylvania and religious studies at Temple University , where he also received a PhD in religious studies. He is the author of numerous essays on Vaishnava theology.

Ravindra Svarupa Dasa joined the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) in 1971 . In the same year AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada , the founder of ISKCON, inaugurated him in the tradition of Gaudiya Vaishnavatal . Since 1987 he has been a member of the Governing Body Commission (GBC), the governing body of ISKCON. He is the initiating spiritual master in the discipleship of Gaudiya Vaishnavatum.
