from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ray Parks (born October 6, 1932 ) is an American country and rockabilly musician.

Ray Parks should not be confused with a vocalist for the rock and roll group The Canucks named Ray Park.

Life

Parks was regularly heard on the radio on KGDM, a station in Stockton , California , in the 1950s . He also received a recording contract with Capitol Records , the leading label on the west coast. Though his nasal voice was made more for country, in November 1956 he released You're Gonna Have To Bawl, That's All . With a percussive slap bass and guitar riffs from professional studio musicians, it tended more towards rockabilly than traditional country music.
