Ray Wilkinson
Ray Wilkinson (19th or 20th century) was an American cinematographic pioneer and engineer who won an Oscar for technical merit at the 1942 Academy Awards .
Life
Wilkinson, who worked for the Paramount Pictures Studio Laboratory, pioneering department, was awarded a Technical Achievement Award in 1942 "for his groundbreaking achievements in the use and the first practical application of a process for the production of projection copies on fine-grain positive material" ("for pioneering in the use of and for the first practical application to release printing of fine grain positive stock "). The award came for both Wilkinson and the studio.
