Rayadurg is a city in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh .
The city is part of the Anantapur district . Rayadurg has the status of a municipality . The city is divided into 16 wards . On the cut-off date of the 2011 census it had a total of 61,749 inhabitants, of which 30,911 were men and 30,838 women. Hindus form the largest group of the city's population with a share of approx. 79%, followed by Muslims with approx. 20%. The literacy rate in 2011 was 69.59%.
The city is connected to the rest of the country by a train station.
