Raymond Glaszmann (born September 21, 1884 in Saint-Laurent , † February 21, 1953 ) was a French racing car driver .

Career

Raymond Glaszmann (in some sources the first name Robert is given) was a French automobile pioneer and was one of the drivers who competed in the first Le Mans 24-hour race in motorsport history in 1923 . Glaszmann was a works driver at Chenard & Walcker and was part of the team in the Coupe Georges Boillot in 1921 . He finished his first Le Mans race in 1923 in seventh place overall. In 1924 he fell out on the side of Robert Sénéchal after driving 83 laps due to a technical defect. He had his last start in Le Mans a year later; he finished the race in tenth.
