Raymond Huntley

Raymond Huntley (born April 23, 1904 in Birmingham , † June 15, 1990 in London ) was a British actor .

Life

Raymond Huntley began his acting career on stage at the age of eighteen. In 1924 he appeared as the first stage Dracula, the role with which his successor Bela Lugosi would later become world famous. From the mid-1930s he appeared in numerous films - mostly in supporting roles as an actor for dignitaries, politicians or officers. Huntley gained fame as Sir Geoffrey Dillon in the 1971-1975 filming 68-part television series Das Haus am Eaton Place .
